RIVERSIDE, Calif. (Feb. 2, 2021) – Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Inland Empire is pleased to announce its new regional chair, Brent Lee of Windermere Tower Properties. Joining the board in 2014, Lee begins a two-year term as area chair of Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
“We are excited to have Brent lead the next chapter for our regional board of directors,” says Jennifer O’Farrell, executive director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Inland Empire. “His professional insight, deep connections to the community and passion for education will strengthen our mission to ignite the power and promise of youth through one-to-one mentorship, so every child can find a pathway to achieve their dreams and succeed in living wage careers.”
Lee is a lifelong resident of Riverside and local business leader. As a seasoned real estate broker and co-owner of Windermere Tower Properties, Lee helps lead a team of more than 50 licensed Realtors® and brokers who served nearly 500 families in 2020. As a Realtor®, Lee has been named to Inland Empire Magazine’s “Best of the Best” list for three consecutive years, beginning in 2018. He has steered Windermere Tower Properties’ commitment to serving the real estate needs in the community by investing and playing an active role in bettering neighborhoods. After each closed transaction, every Windermere agent makes a donation to the Windermere Foundation, which has raised $42 million since 1989 in support of more than 500 organizations that help low-income and homeless families. Lee is also the president and co-owner of Citrus Heritage Escrow, a premier escrow services company serving California clients since 2016.
“I strongly believe in championing equity, access and mentorship for all children, and it is my honor to lead an organization focused on addressing these pillars for youth in our community,” said Lee. “I am committed to furthering the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters, and ensuring mentorship continues to deliver a measurable impact that creates long-term, positive change for our region.”
In addition to his service to Big Brothers Big Sisters, Lee is on the board of trustees for the Riverside Unified School District Board of Education, which represents more than 40,000 students. In 2020, together with his wife Ana, they created an endowed scholarship fund at the College of Behavior Sciences at California Baptist University. The goal of the scholarship is to provide funds to a graduate student looking to work with children in the social service field as a way to increase program diversity and strengthen service to cultural communities.
Lee is the co-founder and past president of the Pick Group, the leading young professionals’ organization in Inland Southern California. He is a graduate of the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce Leadership Riverside program and has served on the City of Riverside’s Charter Review Committee, the Parking, Traffic and Streets Commission, International Relations Council, YWCA Board of Directors, Riverside Medical Clinic’s Charitable Foundation Board and Riverside International Film Festival Committee. Additionally, he is a member of the Raincross Group and serves as a board member for the UC Riverside Alumni Association. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and international relations with a minor in Spanish from the University of San Diego and a master’s degree in management (MBA) from the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Riverside.
